I found Blogger, Timblr and Posterous to be the best (most suitable & desirable) a few months a go when was looking for Yahoo 360 alternatives. I think that SNS & YIM integration are the 2 features that locked Vietnamese in Yahoo. But there is growing trend to use Facebook and chat via Skype, Gtalk and blog on Blogger, Wordpress among Vietnamese too. I'm the one :) One can mention about local web 2.0 SNS & blog companies too. Think of Faceviet, Tamtay, Zing, thehetre.vn, etc...

@ Constantix : I think you don't have any Vietnamese friends lmao.
Using YM is not a shame. People using IM to connect to their friends, and they can choose whatever application, up to their needs. Y!M is not so good, but not so bad, pal.
Yahoo 360 is not good, but not so bad, like YM. It makes regular Vietnamese people easily make a blog & share with the others, and it had some features that the other blog platform doesn't have.

Tumblr is my choice of blogging.

"Vietnamese use the “status” to update you about their thoughts. Their “status” changes every day, every hour, even minute, every time Vietnamese people think of something interesting to share with others."

totally not true. even though they do use Y!IM and 360, they're no way near the other social networking in updating personal status.

Discontinuation of Y! 360 is rumour by Y! Vietnam as those guys wanted a share and attention from top executives. So far Yahoo Singapore was controlling all activities of Yahoo in Indochine :) And people blogs registered via yahoo.com not yahoo.com.vn so stopping those yahoo.com blogs, Yahoo will stop anyone using yahoo.com blogs too. You know, that a FUD dirty trick by Tri' & his colleagues :)

Not true. The Skype and Gtalk population is growing in Vietnam. Moreover, YIM is no replacement for good audio & video chatting. Skype & Gtalk are far more secure than YIM and therefore being used by some SMEs & enterprises for internal communication :) Let's seek official statistics from those providers.

Y!Mes sucks. I know some of Vietnamese teenagers are changing their way of using IMs. Y!M may not be the king anymore. Instead, Google Talk and Skype are gradually taking place. But still, because most of your friends have a Y! ID, then you have to get one.

Y!369 came along with Y!Mes, if there was not Y!Mes, there would be no stupid Y!360.

Facebook and Twitter, I believe in the near future, will replace the trash-Y!360.
