Vietnamese people like white people, apparently because they always wanna have fairer skin. If you happen to speak English, they will like you more, even if you’re from Africa. Vietnamese people like white people speaking Vietnamese even more. So, speaking a little Vietnamese or proving that you wanna learn Vietnamese is a plus. Joe Ruelle became famous overnight, and you could be, too.

Most Vietnamese people like being seen with a white person, though there will be some rumors later (just in case it’s a white guy with a Vietnamese girl). If you’re white, you’ll surely be introduced to their friends and invited to parties.

If you’re a white guy and wanna seduce a girl, walk into a room and crook a finger. Actually, you have to do nothing at all but be there, and girls will be drawn to you. Unfortunately, Vietnamese guys are very different from girls in this regard. But don’t think that marrying a Vietnamese girl is easy, because not many of those who run after you stand a chance of winning over prejudice.

Make friend with a Vietnamese person and you’ll suddenly have a group of Vietnamese people surrounding you. Be prepared to attend lots of parties, events, “interviews” of all sorts, because here you’ll be treated like a Hollywood celebrity. However, Vietnamese people won’t like much your rejections to accompany them, because they’ll lose an opportunity to show themselves off and lose face with their friends.

This is somewhat true.

I agree with how white Americans are treated in my ex-uni. They are truly celebrity lol, well, kind of. of course, I know that they were just wanna be cool with everyone, but to vietnamese students, it was a chance to prove that they could speak English well and Have an American friend lol

Bạn dựa vào điều gì để có thể tự dùng từ “Vietnamese people” ở đây? Nếu chỉ bằng cảm nhận của riêng bạn, thì dùng từ Vietnamese people là sai.

Thành thật mà nói, những gì bạn viết, rất phiến diện. Thật kinh khủng là những điều này lại viết bằng tiếng Anh.

Nonsense. Why treating those whites like gods or celebrities? We are all equal and only ppl with moderately low esteem will look up to other too much. If more white jerks were around, there is no more polularity. If ppl know that whites are no better, they won’t chase I’ve been there, done that so I see no reason kneeling to whites. Absurd.

White people? Do you mean ‘foreigners’?

Foreign language learners always do feel attracted with foreigners (of course) but that isn’t a reasonable way to explain we “like” them in your expression above.

As a white guy, I can state all is perfectly true ^^ And most of the white guy tends to be overrated, compared to what they really are.

I’m proud of my race and culture; however, there are several traditional views that are nonsense. I agree with the “likings of White people” but it just shows how completely ignorant our ancestors are. If it wasn’t for leaders like Martin Luther King, Jr…our parents wouldn’t have had the opportunity in America. We all like to be US citizens, but it’s ridiculous how we don’t acknowledge other races and their hard work to allow the freedom we have here. It’s frustrating how my parents judge people because of their skin color. Everyone is human and God made us for a reason. Being open-minded is very hard for our parents and ancestors…let’s begin somewhere, like NOW and educate our elders and children of the cultures of all races.

This fact.. is barely valid
You can write this 5-10 years ago and it can be accepted
For sure, i dont favor this article for it is bias and making Viet people seem like easy social tools

Of course i would understand if you hate them

If i ask 50% of any Viet i know
They would not agree to treating “white poeple” like stars nor will all the viet girls be drawn by white men

Why those cases happen of viet girls and white men is mainly because of the imports
In Vietnam the social standards are very nice
Because they moved to another country (imports) they feel much more lonely and so for the “white men” who find it just too hard to find a girl and eventually start to act friendly and sociable naturally which creates a quick connection to viet girls

But now-a-days those cases are rare

Also the fact you say because they want fairer skin
Are you depicting every race (black and asian) want to be white?
It is a very bias fact there
Vietnamese people are just very sociable as i have learnt from listening to my own countries language
They speak of anything whether it has already been said or is just amazing, to engage in conversation
They like to dine and drink together and sometimes if their crazy enough get into fights

I dont believe there are Vietnamese people that keep the thought of having fairer skin
Vietnam is a rough country to live in and having fair skin is just impossible in those habitat, and so no one really cares for it
